A woman suffered multiple lacerations, abrasions and punctured wounds to her face, body, arms and legs when she was attacked by a pack of dogs at Morisset on Saturday. She is Mrs.Violet Gambrill, of Pulbah street, Morisset, who was delivering fish to a house in Morisset when the dogs attacked her. About four or five dogs leapt at her, knocking her to the ground. Her husband, who was in a utility nearby, beat off the dogs with a stick. He was bitten on the ankles before the dogs ran away, Mrs. Gambrill was treated by a doctor and taken by Lake Macquarie Ambulance to Royal Newcastle Hospital. - Unknown newspaper and date

Mrs.Violet Gambrill of Pulbah Street Morisset was selling fish when the dogs swarmed over her and knocked her to the ground. Her husband who was seated in a utility truck, ran to his wife's assistance and beat off the dogs. Mrs Gambrill was treated by a local doctor for punctured wounds to both arms, legs, the face and body.
