- John Woolcock and Catherine Lobb arrived in Australia on 31 August 1838 on board the "William Metcalfe" as free settlers. On Johns emigrant certificate it states that he was 26 years old he was a ploughman he could read & write & was in very good health. Catherine Lobb was 24 years old on her embarkment certificate. It states that she was a General Servant, her health was very good. She could read but not write.
- John Woolcock left his property to his wife for life and after her death to his children.
