- MR. SAMUEL WILKINSON - The death occurred in Dungog Cottage Hospital on Friday last of Mr. Samuel Wilkinson, farmer, of Monkerai. Deceased, who was 84 years of age, was a native of Glen William, and at the age of eight years went with his parents to Monkerai. He married Miss Ada Frances Brown, of Stroud, who, with four sons and two daughters, survive him. The sons are Samuel (Craven), Sidney (Ward's River), Stephen (Monkerai), and Jack (Monkerai), and the daughters are Mrs. W. Burrage and Mrs.Erin Bromley (Monkerai). The deceased was very highly respected in Monkerai district. The funeral took place on Saturday, leaving the hosptial for interment in Dungog Church of England cemetery. Rev. A. W. Moore officiated at the grave side. Deceased's four sons acted as pall-bearers. The mortuarys arrangements were carried out by the messrs. Fry Bros. Deceased Was an old member of the Dungog branch of the G.U.O.O.F and the Lodge service at the graveside was read by Bro. E. Bradbery. [2]
