WEDDING. A very pretty wedding was celebrated at the Methodist church, Lower Portland, on Wednesday afternoon, October 29, by the Rev. J. Scharkle, when Miss Clara Herps, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Herps of Lower Portland was married to Mr. Wesley Gambrill second son of Mrs. Gambrill of Colo. The church was attractively decorated by the friends of the bride. The bride, who was given away by her father was attired in a dainty little frock of white crepe-de-chene and georgette hand-embroidered and finished with pearls. Her court train was lined with shell pink and trimmed with tulle and orange blossoms. She also wore the customary wreath and veil, worn mob cap fashion, the veil being kindly lent by Mrs. John Stephens (of Wilberforce), and carried a bouquet of white carnations and asparagus fern. Mr. Arthur Herps brother of the bride, was best man. Miss Ethel Gambrill sister of the bride-groom was bridesmaid. She wore a neat little frock of white voile, and carried a bouquet of pale pink carnations and asparagus fern. The bridegroom's, gift to the bride was a gold wristlet watch, and to the bridesmaid a sliver hand mirror. The ladies of the district also presented the bride with a silver pickle Jar. The reception was held at the bride's, parents residence, shortly after which Mr. and Mrs. Gambrill left for Manly on their honeymoon. The bride's traveling dress was navy blue crepe-de-chene, trimmed with georgette and braided with hat to match. Numerous and valuable presents and cheques were received. Mr. and Mrs. Gambrill's future home will be at Colo.
