  	LITHGOW DEATH "Mrs. M. E. Day" The death occurred in the Lithgow hospital on Thursday of Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Day, of 126 Vale road at the age of 71 years. Deceased had not experienced the best of health for a considerable period. Born at Tumbarumba, the late Mrs. Day resided there for practically all her life, coming to Lithgow about three years ago. Her husband predeceased her by about 15 years. She is survived by one son only, Const. A. A, Day, of Cook street. The funeral was conducted on Friday, leaving the funeral parlors of Mr. E. McMurtrie for the Church of England portion of Bowenfels cemetery, where interment was made. The Rev. C. K. Hammond officiated. Included in the floral tributes was a wreath of the permanent type from members of the Lithgow police force. Pall-bearers were Sergt. Bull and Consts. Heron, Ginty and Fox. [1]
